Setting the Scene
The Come Play campaign for Wrest Point was all about shifting gears – inviting people into a world that felt light-hearted, lively, and full of charm. Our role was to inject that energy straight into the visuals by blending live-action footage with fun, unexpected CGI elements.
Adding a Playful Twist
We took ordinary scenes – people sitting at tables, placing bets, enjoying a drink – and gave them a playful twist. Keno papers floated through the air, cocktail umbrellas flying from drinks, fruits dancing with guests, and casino chips multiplying across tables. Each animation was designed to feel like a moment of surprise, turning everyday interactions into something whimsical and memorable.

A Bit of Special Effects Magic
To bring it all together, we also added a layer of special effects magic – including fiery little explosions (don’t worry, not the dangerous kind). We carefully simulated each one to get just the right balance of fun, motion, and timing. It added extra flair and helped transition between scenes with a bit of theatre and fun.

Seamless Integration
Every shot was manually masked so that our 3D elements could weave seamlessly into the real-world environment. That meant rotoscoping around hands, drinks, and faces – frame by frame – to make sure nothing felt out of place. It was meticulous work, but crucial for keeping the illusion alive.
An Invitation to Enjoy
The overall style leaned clean, bright, and just a little cheeky – perfect for the mood Wrest Point wanted to strike. These weren’t over-the-top effects, but well-timed flourishes that gave each scene a nudge of personality without stealing the spotlight In the end, it wasn’t about flashy tricks – it was about adding charm to the everyday. With just the right mix of whimsy, colour, and craft, Come Play delivered exactly what it promised: a fresh, friendly invitation to relax, have a laugh, and maybe even win a little something along the way.
